A Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan is a required element of the Elementary and Secondary School Relief American Rescue Plan (ESSER-ARP) Consolidated Grant. The total grant award is $6,395,088 for the project period extending from March 11, 2021, through September 30, 2024. Funds must be used for the following areas:
- Academic Impact of Lost Instructional Time
- Evidence-Based Summer Learning and Enrichment
- Evidence-Based Comprehensive After School Programs
- Emergency Needs
- Homeless Students
The first submission of the Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan is due on June 24, 2021. This plan is subject to change based on updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), New Jersey Department of Health, New Jersey Department of Education, and/or Executive Orders from the Governor of New Jersey. The final submission of the plan and the grant is due on November 24, 2021.
