Dress Code
Our dress code serves as a foundation to ensure that our students are dressed appropriately for learning and to cultivate a positive environment conducive to academic success. With this in mind, I kindly urge your cooperation in ensuring that your child adheres to the following guidelines:
Modesty: Both male and female students' clothing choices should reflect modesty and refrain from being excessively revealing. This includes avoiding sleeveless shirts, midriff-baring tops, or garments with open backs. Shorts should meet appropriate school length standards, and clothing selections should avoid exposing undergarments or excessive skin.
Appropriateness: The attire must be suitable for a school setting, meaning it must not feature offensive language or images. Additionally, clothing promoting drugs, alcohol, violence, or any other inappropriate content is not permitted.
Weather Considerations: Students should still dress appropriately and comply with the dress code as temperatures increase/decrease. We encourage using light, breathable fabrics, and comfortable attire, always within the boundaries of our guidelines during the warmer months. In addition, the use of outerwear is encouraged in the colder months.
Your continued reinforcement of these expectations at home is pivotal in helping us maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere at Memorial Middle School. Your support and understanding are greatly appreciated.
Please see the dress code policy if you have questions or concerns (Click Here). Alternatively, feel free to contact me directly at bmorgan@wboe.net, and I will be more than happy to assist you.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in your child's educational journey at Memorial Middle School.
